The designers have used cosy lighting, plush furnishings, carefully chosen colours, fabrics and greenery to create a relaxed and nurturing atmosphere that lessens chlidren’s anxiety in this three-storey neighbourhood clinic.
The design team have transformed the traditional clinic environment, through imaginative use of colours, shapes, and textures to create positive distraction for worried children and their families and carers. Gentle, easy to navigate and full of natural light, spaces feel playful, uplifting and fun - inviting users to move and explore much more than in a traditional waiting room. The Xi'an Angel Children's clinic is the first clinic project to be completed as part of Angel Group’s establishment of three new children's clinics in Xi'an, Chengdu, and Kunming. Designers have tied together the three clinics' themes so that all clinics use the same design language.
Design highlights
Light, natural materials feature pops of graphics and colour to make the clinic inviting for children. Child friendly design details include low level counters, bright feature walls, a ceiling light cove, play columns and a variety of imaginative seating options as well as an independent rest and play space for children.
