The Soft Work system is designed for temporary working, featuring practical table surfaces, power outlets and charging stations. Mobile tables and chairs can be pulled up as needed and put away again, and panels added to create spaces for quiet working.
At Orgatec, Vitra is presenting thee concepts for workspaces with more new and revised projects by Konstantin Grcic, Antonio Citterio, Alberto Meda, Charles and Ray Eames, Maarten Van Severen and Arik Levy.
Also at the fair, Spanish furniture maker Capdell is displaying its Droplets bench series. The Droplets design, with its fluid forms, was created by Swedish architect Claesson Koivisto Rune, and is based on observations of how surface tension forms drops of water on flat surfaces. The architect has created eight different versions of the upholstered droplet shaped benches, which can be combined in numerous configurations.
Other exhibitors include Cappellini, which is showcasing its latest version of German designer Werner Aisslinger’s Juli chair, the Juli Plastic, and Klober, which is displaying its ConWork chair. Fritz Hansen’s display includes the Little GiraffeTM chair, a revival of its 1959 Giraffe chair, and Plenum, the high backed sofa system by Jaime Hayon launched at the start of the year.
