Launched by Liu Haisu Art Museum, the Public Art and Community Building Plan of Su Shanghai is dedicated to embedding art into Shanghai's streets and alleys, stimulating architectural vitality, improving community quality, perfecting urban functions and building a better life through the organic integration of space transformation, artistic creativity and community interaction.
The first case of the project is the Shanghai Community Art Museum located at 1088 Lane of Yuyuan Road, which was co-constructed by Liu Haisu Art Museum and the founder of CRATER, architect Zhang Haiao, and supported by East China in Jindi. Community art galleries are not cold art exhibition space, but hope to present, narrate and convey more temperate community history, urban spirit and humanistic care through art and interaction.
The World Architecture News Awards showcase the best international design in both current and future projects. Entries for the 2019 Awards are now open - for further information and to submit your entry please click here.
