2019 WIN Awards: Mountain without boundaries | Macalline Qinghuahai PARK - Macalline Qinghuahai PARK

Mountain without boundaries | Macalline Qinghuahai PARK - Macalline Qinghuahai PARK is an entry in the Experiential Design category at the 2019 World Interiors News Awards.

by Alison Carter 29 August 2019 2019

If a living room is warm and comfortable, then a marketing space must be calm yet bright. The large area of the space is covered with neutral colours, such as a muted grey, soothing emerald green, and some metallic colours. The lighting is dim to encourage the calm surroundings.

The crystal art installation chandelier reflects a shower of rain pouring down, outlining the shadow of the mountain and giving the image of light and shadow.

Ink paintings and white porcelain are blended with light and green, allowing the space to blend into a warm and ancient rhyme.

The floor-to-ceiling windows will encourage growth of the light green plants, and make the boundaries

between indoor and outdoor gradually blurred, ensuring the atmosphere of the whole space is calm and relaxed.

The space’s light tones are further enhanced with beige fake books and different styles of clay pots to form a unified colour system.  Green plants and red ornaments are dotted around the area. In the functional area, there is a leisure club area, which includes a family dining room, fitness area and  swimming pool.
