Set along a rare twin-cove on the eastern coastline of Hong Kong, the property's surroundings bring to mind locations on the American east coast - like Amagansett in Long Island.

via architecture aimed to create the relaxed ambiance of a vacation home, while offering the comforts of a city residence. The living and dining rooms feature a bold use of materials: two types of terrazzo are applied for the floors and walls respectively, striking a contrast with the oak and natural timber surfaces. Also defining the main living space is a hand-finished bronze screen, which doubles as a sliding partition for the semi-enclosed Study.

Furniture and fixtures, selected to showcase impeccable taste, include a range of coveted designer pieces. via architecture has also crafted a series of exclusive furnishings for this home, such as a sleek nesting coffee table, marble-top walnut dining table and chairs, and an asymmetric rug inspired by the surrounding scenery.

To match the interiors, photographic works by Hong Kong-based artist Tugo Cheng, and Dutch photographer Marcel Heijnen adorn the main living areas.

Refined yet relaxed, Urban Serenity combines a functional design with timeless elegance.
