by Copy taken from 2020 entry 15 June 2020 2020

This is a building renovation and interior space planning project. Its predecessor was the movie props warehouse of Xi'an Film Studio of China. Brick and Wood Structural Row House in 1950s and 1960s style.

The project is planned as a Chinese restaurant. In order to meet the usable area, a mezzanine space is built in the interior and an outdoor, terrace is added on the second floor. In order to reflect the unique wooden structure and spatial memory of the original interior space, try to hide the mechanical and electrical equipment inside and also expose the original structure on the top of the building. The space is dominated by black. Take cinema as the concept. Light glows in the darkness and flowing light with color. Different levels of space rhythm, light and shadow, material composition of fashion and elegant noble temperament.

Emotions and memories are like a poem here, just like the former Soviet union film director Tarkovsky said “I felt all the time that for the film to be a success the texture of the scenery and the landscapes must fill me with definite memories and poetic associations”

This space is closely related to movies, and it used to be a treasure for dreamers.
