by Copy taken from 2020 entry 16 June 2020 2020

This project was jointly designed by Italian designer Michele Mole and Chinese designer WenLi Wu, adhering to the concept of green and sustainable, using water and karst caves as their source of inspiration, showing rich regional characteristics.

The highlight of this project is that the extremely difficult technology, and uses GRG (Glass Fiber Reinforced Gypsum) materials for design,as well as uses the precast processing technology to customize the hyperboloid shape. Each surface needs to be modeled on the computer first, customized production in the factory, and assembly on site. During installation, because the three-axis coordinates of each point of the modeling surface are changing, the position of each plate must be very accurate, which is also the technical difficulty of the project.

From the perspective of green and environmental protection, the designer uses only one material to create a rich space experience, vividly displaying the shape of water and caves, making people feel the space experience of return to the original and natural, reducing unnecessary material consumption, it conveys a green design concept of “less is more”.
