2020 WIN Awards entry: KTM Motohall - Atelier Brueckner GmbH

KTM Motohall by Atelier Brueckner GmbH is an entry in the Cultural venues Category of the 2020 WIN Awards

Ready to Race: In the KTM Motohall, visitors get to know the ”Orange Spirit“ of the world-famous sports motorcycle brand on 3000 sqm of exhibition space. The design, with its dynamic shapes and the choice materials, is based on the racing spirit for which the KTM brand stands.

The racy routing incorporated in the new ellipse-shaped building leads the visitors through the three levels, providing barrier-free access throughout. Along the route, visitors trace the design process from the initial sketch through to the finished product, discover technical details in passing and watch how some 70 street and off-road bikes race each other at breakneck speed on a steep curve built there. Over 20 media stations and up to 30 projections make it possible to fully indulge in the world of powersports.

The highlight of the exhibition is the “Heroes of Racing” area, where the heroes of the KTM brand are featured with their original bikes and racing gear. The upper storey is dedicated to them. Integrated in a dynamic 360° projection, motorsport becomes an immersive experience here.

Completion date: 30 April 2019.
