2020 WIN Awards entry: PicaDeli Stockholm - Spik Studios

PicaDeli Stockholm by Spik Studios is an entry in the Restaurants and cafés Category of the 2020 WIN Awards

by Copy taken from 2020 entry 22 June 2020 2020

Picadeli is a pioneering food tech company originating from Sweden, now conquering Europe with successful shop-in-shop salad bars.

Their vision - and true belief - is a world where fast food is the opposite of junk food. The first restaurant premiered in Stockholm March 2020, and the next will open in Paris autumn/winter 2020. This unique restaurant is built around self-service (e.g. pick your own salad, self-checkout) in order to handle as much as 400 guests during peak hours.

We want to strengthen the feeling of stepping into an urban greenhouse mixed with materials and details that breathes international kitchen in a sophisticated and modern way. By adding concrete flooring, neon signs, oversized wall art & graffiti we create an urban vibe that plays out well with the white tiles we use in the community table, the kitchen and of course the whole toppings & cravings station. We also want to highlight freshness through a unique fragrance from fresh tomatoes, warm lemons & herbs.

Since salad consumers over index on environmental and social consciousness, we have built an interior with a sustainable focus. The idea is to use materials that lasts and will only look better thru the years. Plants and greens for the greenhouse-effect and the connection with mother earth thru plant based food is one of the key elements in the interior.

Last year more than 40 countries took part in the WIN Awards with strong showings from Europe, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. And we saw some truly outstanding interior designs, take a look at the winners from last year here.
