2020 WAN Awards entry: Jinwan Aviation City Industrial Service Centre - 10 DESIGN

Jinwan Aviation City Industrial Service Centre by 10 DESIGN is an entry in the Commercial Category of the 2020 WAN Awards

by Copy taken from 2020 entry 24 June 2020 2020

The new Jinwan Industrial Service Centre is an incubation platform for start-up companies and entrepreneurs. Creating opportunities for interaction, collaboration, and visibility is an important objective of our master plan. This is accomplished thru the creation of a new campus with a green landscaped garden that runs thru the centre of the site. It also provides a clear connection to a new active and animated waterfront. This space becomes the social heart of the campus and allows for social interaction.

Each of the Incubation Office buildings has a direct face to the social heart of the campus further highlighting visibility to create a sense of community. Each of the Incubation Office Buildings has been designed as paired blocks with a central atrium at one end to create a strong sense of place. These atriums become shared entrances for the office buildings and contain shared meeting/collaboration space on each side to further promote visibility and interaction.

We have designed our approach to help attract a wide range of tenants ranging from small size start-up companies to larger tenants interested in multiple floors or perhaps even large companies interested in entire buildings.

Each of our Incubation office buildings is designed so that they can be split vertically and occupied by individual or multiple companies. Rather than create large, centre core office buildings, we have created smaller linked modules to allow for greater market flexibility, more natural daylight into the office space and shared atriums to sponsor interaction.
