Gold:

The Conran Shop, Seoul by Conran and Partners

Working closely with The Conran Shop’s in-house creative team, we have evolved the brand experience to create a high-impact lifestyle-led retail environment. Our design evokes the atmosphere and drama of a gallery space – rather than that of a conventional store – allowing products to be curated in impactful, eye-catching ways.

Our approach has opened up the perimeter to allow maximum light into the store, as well as to optimise views in and out. Switch-back escalators in the centre of the store act as a dramatic architectural feature and encourage circulation between the two floors.

Sky-City Experience Centre by MDO

With this project, we want to establish the sales center of the future. It is conceived as a new heart of the community which will be used by all residents of all ages at any time. A place where community can come together and discuss about the future.

The overall concept is the floating city. We imagine the architecture to be the city boundaries. Inside this large container we place a series of different volumes connected by internal streets and squares.

We regard it as the epitome of life in this community where people can imagine and experience their future. The entire project integrates retail, book bar, co-working, conferences, public exhibition, offline events and government meetings.

TRONGYEE Boutique by AD Architecture

TRONGYEE is a brand established in 1999, dedicated to selling womenswear of multiple brands.

The upgraded store was planned to offer garments exclusively from designer brands, through which TRONGYEE hoped to reactivate its brand identity, and bring new vitality to the city's commercial field.

The storefront is an important part that needs to be considered carefully, since it directly presents the store's image. The designers adopted a neat facade and low-intensity lighting through reverse thinking, so as to directly guide the sight line to the indoor space.

Harmay Beijing by AIM Architecture

Harmay, a successful online cosmetic brand opens their flagship store in Beijing.

How could a physical space support an e-platform brand, and vice versa? As designers, we wanted to create a shopping adventure that differentiate from the traditional retail shopping experience, yet still reflects Harmay’s identity as an efficient and industrialized line of an e-commerce brand. Stepping into the online retail giant’s physical stores is like peeking behind the scenes of their business. The products, distribution, and delivery processes are all made available for consumers to engage with.

La Maison Goutal by via architecture limited

La Maison Goutal is the first Asia flagship store for French perfume house, Goutal. The retail space encapsulates the longstanding creativity of the brand with immersive elements in a new aesthetic language.

The design was envisioned as a modern Parisian maison for its late founder, Annick Goutal. The street-facing façade pays homage to French architecture with a trio of arches in a composition of limestone, bronze and marble.

Zespa by Naço

Marcelo, the architect of zespa explains: ‘The Sneakers phenomenon is a worldwide trend of creativity and quality. For Zespa, I didn't want to talk about shoes but feet. We must go beyond the simple universe of clothing, of wearing. This store had to be as strong as it was impactful.

The idea was to keep the cachet of this old 80 sq m newsstand anchored in the 70s as much as possible. His first will was to keep the copper-aluminum ceiling made of slats. This part of the store, previously nonexistent, ultimately becomes the founding and unifying element. The colorimetry with a Mediterranean blue presented on the facade and on the floor of the shop, adds power to the signature of the space and the brand.

Zoina Auspicious Omen Sales Center by Das Design Co., Ltd

Continuing the tonality of the logs, combined with the Japanese design style to create a fully open interactive space, the hierarchical structure expands the space vision, softens the silence and unity under pure wood, and gives the space greater flexibility and tolerance. Perhaps the greatest charm of design is to use the simplest elements to outline the simplest texture.

In the application of decoration, real plants and landscapes are used in the sand table area, and natural art and human aesthetics are blooming again and again; and the guest negotiation area also uses real floral plants to feel the natural traces with real texture.

WuliEpoch Culture Center by Atelier Alter Architects

Sited in the fifth ring of Beijing, near the scared Western Hills, WuliEpoch Culture Center is a hybrid between showroom and community center. The project attempts to create a triptych for architecture, landscape and interior design. While the project is encompassed by the splendor Western Hills, the design put up an immersive show within landscape. The distance landscape is introduced to the project in a dynamic rather than static way. A continuous path wrapped around from exterior to interior. The first nature of landscape and the second nature of the interior space join seamlessly through the path. The ambience along the path is circumferential and religious, as a way to worship nature.
