Hastings Architecture design HQ for Fourth Capital in Tennessee US

The new headquarters marks a new chapter for the company as it redefines its brand and establishes itself in downtown Nashville

by Georgina Johnston 25 March 2021

As the anchor tenant in the recently completed Peabody Plaza at Rolling Mill Hill, Fourth Capital includes a ground floor branch and headquarters on the top floor.

The design is tailored and personal, embodying the future of financial services. On the ground floor, the branch features large steel and glass pivot doors creating an inviting entry that flows from the main lobby. The natural light and modern colour palette complement an elegant feature wall of machined steel cylinders inspired by the former flour mills for which the district was named.

On the ninth floor headquarters, floor-to-ceiling glass greets clients and associates and offers sweeping views of the skyline, Cumberland River, and pocket park below. A ribbed motif, also inspired by the former flour mills, continues from the branch and gives shape to the scalloped green marble of the lobby desk and informs the details of the custom shelving, mirrors, and walnut millwork in the Living Room and Café. A custom lighting grid balances the deep, luxurious colour palette and textures of suede, velvet, and carved wood to create an experience that is tech-forward, crafted, and personal.
