Beginning with the concept of "trace", several parts are developed where the first part is half-half (space division) and old school; the entire space is divided by a metal band with a height of 2.2 m, retreating to the bottom as the clothing display. Rough paint adds texture and expresses the concept of restoration, whereas the old school element expresses the attitude of the Samo brand’s contemporary design.
The second part is also derived from palimpsest as the studio implanted daily structures into the space; the island fitting room was gradually assembled from cabinets during the design process, and some of the props are also imitating a collage of different objects, and the metal parts of the space are copied and pasted infinitely in the form of "工".
There are two more special points in this project. One is that the studio chose slotted granite stone, glazed orange handmade bricks, the contemporary dot floor and chaotic metal aluminium board. The materials are spliced, reorganised, and collided into different spatial attributes.
Another point is that they designed the entire façade as a whole system, like an easel of ultra conventional proportions, but also like an unfinished architectural structure. The frame system of the façade can be used as a poster display, and at the same time, through the gaps of the structure show the interior of the space.
