New York design duo deliver completed triplex penthouse

The boutique residential building at 1228 Madison Avenue, was designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects with interiors by Kelly Behun Studio

by Georgina Johnston 12 November 2021

CBSK Ironstate, the partnership of CB Developers, SK Development, and Ironstate are behind the eight private terraces, across three full floors, which provide more than 1,700 sq ft of outdoor space. The Triplex Penthouse offers views of the Midtown skyline, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis Reservoir, and Central Park.

Nestled in the heart of Carnegie Hill, this is a new luxury development. One of the highlights of the assembled residence will be the 16th floor Great Room, which is framed by arched windows that offer unobstructed views of Central Park over a set-back terrace. A full-floor master bedroom suite features two private terraces, Juliet balconies, and a dressing room.

Materials for the residences were chosen by A Kelly Behun and Chevron oak floors and burnished nickel custom door hardware by PE Guerin are used throughout. The kitchens feature Calacatta Estremoz marble countertops, backsplash and island, alongside custom Molteni millwork cabinetry with white matte lacquer finish.
