Residential Developments (Apartments)

Pragmatic design and versatility benefit Emaar DigiHomes in Gurugram

In a collaboration with real estate development company Emaar Properties and Studio IAAD, the spatial design creates a living entity for the residential needs of any family

by Connor Gill 18 January 2022

The main focus of the residential development was to bring forward an elevated living experience that stimulates the senses in a wholesome manner through continuous communication between the interior and exterior. This space anchors the main circulation paths, which connect to the two model apartments. While diverse styles co-inhabit the space, each shines through in its rightful light.

The design intent was to bring forward an elevated living experience that stimulates the senses in a wholesome manner through the continuous dialogue between the inside and the outside.

The design narrative finds its roots in the conceptual identity, contemporary nuances, attention to detail, and the coming together of three distinct grammars of design tied together with a ‘feel-good’ aura.

Driving the overarching design ethos, this section of the floorplan acts as the primary interface between the model homes and the visitors. Its critical function revolves around wearing a visual story from the first moment an end-used step foot inside the premises. While diverse styles co-inhabit the space, each shines through in its rightful light.

A rustic opulence rules the fluidic space, with an ambience that celebrates the feeling of finding oneself in the outdoors. Reimagined as an airy sunny verandah, this space hosts an interplay of printed motif tiles contrasted against concrete surfaces, warm wood tones, vintage ornate metal railings, and touches of rattan; reminiscent of a tropical plantation home porch with statement lighting.

The residences are meticulously curated, bearing the essence of user-centric designs. The two-bedroom home is envisioned as a low-cost abode that is the ideal fit for younger families that may take a liking to the warm colour palette. Hues of blue are featured around the space lending the home a refreshing identity. An interesting feature added to the development is the quaint dining wallpaper, framing views of a winding white stucco-lined hallway which gives the space a sense of increased dimensions.

With an elegant, contemporary identity at its crux, the three-bedroom home has been created with a timeless palette; the torchbearer for luxury living. The residence is composed of the subdued neutral tonality that is tied in with pops of colour, curated artwork, and acute attention to lifestyle-based details. The master suite encapsulates the overall persona of this home; the ribbed beige velvet upholstered bed, royal portraits, and the Souffle Chair makes for the perfect vignette.
