Overlooking Central Park at 467ft tall, 180 East 88th Street features all the essentials for a penthouse home. Spanning 5,508 sq ft with an additional 3,500 sq ft of exterior space, storage is no issue for the grand home.
Designed by architecture firm Joe McMillan's DDG, the design was inspired by early 20th-century New York masonry. The designers aimed to create a tribute to this classic design technique while encompassing all of the wonders of modern aesthetics.
The luxury home contains two living spaces, a large dining area, eat-in kitchen, five bedrooms, four full and two half bathrooms, and it is tied together with a sculptural spiral staircase that leads from the upper-floor bedrooms to the terrace.
The façade is constructed out of more than 600,000 handmade bricks designed by master Danish brickworks Petersen Tegl. Making use of the elongated Kolumba style of bricks, each has a unique texture that only comes from quality handmade bricks.
