WIT Design & Research create user-friendly office space in Beijing

The thriving fintech industry has encouraged three new office developments

by Séan Thurgood 18 August 2022

The Fintech Office project is a series of three offices that have all been designed and completed. All three were created with efficiency oriented design in mind, inspired by the use of semi-circle desks in Bloomberg London.

The 4,500 sq m space was designed with the financial technology industry in mind, allowing for an average of 6.6 sq m of working space per person.

With an increase in companies working in this growing  successful sector, WIT installed terrazzo tiles as a mark of opulence and luxury.  The interior boasts a concrete waterfall which is active all year round due to being indoors, far away from the cold winters of Beijing. The relaxing space can be viewed from many of the offices.

The sunken atrium can serve as a party room when needed, however for the rest of the time it remains peacefully bathed in soft lighting.

Early investors in the structure were keen to rent space upon completion. During the design phase, these investors wanted to create offices that were “even more comfortable than home”. With this in mind, the Dragon Restaurant was added to the final of the three buildings, offering a dining experience for office workers and locals alike.
