LW Design unveils minimalist luxury hotel in Dubai

‘The Dubai EDITION’ is the first of its kind in the city with elevated style, materials and design language

by Séan Thurgood 18 October 2022

The triple-height space is a delicate balance of geometry and features an enormous chandelier upon arrival. A central spiral staircase connects the lobby to the other public spaces and takes the visitor on a layered experience that unifies high and low, dark and light to create a friendly welcome to the heart of the hotel.

Within the hotel are several restaurants designed to cater to all tastes and preferences. Duomo is a theatrical Italian restaurant with vibrant yellow colour scheme and immersive artwork throughout, whereas Jolie features earth tones, bronze finishes and rattan and teak chairs with olive-green banquettes. Just off the main lobby is Leon Bar, a speakeasy-style establishment with punchy accents against a dark background.

With 275 rooms of light oak and stone accents, each features ample light and views of the Burj Khalifa from large glass balconies. The timber lined walls create warmth, peace and serenity.

The Dubai EDITION is understated and represents exquisite luxury, attention to detail and being bold. Its extraordinary location on Downtown Boulevard affords the hotel an enviable view of the Burj Khalifa and the Old Town. It is the first five- star luxury property that we have managed both architectural and design projects.

A signature spa with sauna and steam room accompanies an outdoor infinity pool. By day, poolside cabanas are used for lounging, and at night they form part of the food and beverage experience. These are interspersed with terracotta pots, teak wood furniture and a natural and intimate vibe created by verdant plants.
