Project: Yuqiao Plot 04 Office & Exhibition Hall

Location: Shanghai, China

Award: Workspace Interiors: Studios, Co-Working Spaces & Home Offices, Bronze, 2023

Design Practice: Benoy Limited

Client: Shanghai Lujiazui Development Group Co

The Shanghai Yuqiao 04 project aims to provide cutting-edge office and exhibition facilities for the rapidly developing science and innovation hub of Yuqiao. It integrates a reception area, meeting and exhibition spaces, a rest area, office facilities and a circular audio-visual hall. The dual function space showcases the area’s ambitions while providing a pleasant and efficient office environment for the business people who will work here now and in the future. The space is designed based on the ‘Green Axis’ concept used in other parts of the Yuqiao development, using rich greenery boxes throughout the interior spaces to create a warm and relaxing atmosphere.

Design highlights

The space makes full use of the landscape view from the upper floors, and the layout is built around flexible working with a combination of multiple office modes to accommodate the evolving work styles of the future. Environmentally friendly interior materials chosen include carpets made of recycled materials, walls made of recycled bricks and eco-friendly paints.
