The designers took inspiration from the area’s rich geological resources – mine pits and national geological parks, a source of mineral ore - when coming up with the interiors for Hotel Indigo.
Colourful glass, metal mirrors and acrylic features create a forest-like mood in the lobby area. While the bar and restaurant area are inspired by bonfires, miner's lamps and the arc shape of the tents the miners would have lived in when working in the area. The lift lobby and the corridor are transformed into mini exhibition halls for exploration instruments.
Design highlights
Guest rooms are inspired by the colour and natural patterns of forests, plants and mosses. The minibars and nightstands in the guest rooms are in the form of mining toolboxes.
