Located in the heart of Washington DC in the Dupont Circle neighbourhood, the smart and stylish Kimpton Banneker Hotel comprises two distinct restaurants, 144 suites, meeting rooms and fitness facilities.
The interior designers considered the unique characteristics that make up the city to provide a hotel experience that celebrates local art and culture, with artwork by local creators providing a central part of the interiors. Kimpton Banneker Hotel’s sophisticated and minimalist interior design communicates a narrative of Washington's history, monumental architecture and contemporary culture to offer a guest experience that is both reflective and yet a unique interpretation of the city.
The building's history as a former hotel and apartment complex was factored into the design. Working within the constraints of existing walls and plumbing, the generous guestrooms feature a-typical layouts.
Design highlights
Distinct concepts for the main hotel, the ground floor restaurant and rooftop bar, reference the dynamic architecture and neighbourhood variations found within the city whilst tying together as a coherent whole.
