Award: Judges’ Award: Interiors Practice of the Year
Design practice: LW
Since 1999, LW has developed over 300 hospitality projects from the ground up. The firm employs a diverse design process – an amalgamation of different ideas, concepts and approaches. The company has established a worldwide presence in recent years, with many impressive, award-winning projects coming out of its offices in Dubai, Hong Kong, São Paulo and Denmark.
The practice won two awards in this year's WIN Awards. Of it's work on Dubai desert resort Bab Al Shams, a 2023 gold award winner in the Hospitality Interiors: Hotel & Other Overnight Accommodation category, the judges said: "a stunning and elegant fusion of traditional and modern Arabic design."
The practice also won a silver award in the Hospitality Interiors: Entertainment category for Dubai speakeasy bar 7 Tales.
Key to LW’s success is how its architects and interior designers not only work alongside each other but also partner closely with clients to fully embrace their vision. The resulting projects deliver an experience that incorporates the best of both disciplines. The LW team work together with clients to enhance the concept, creating functional, unique features that bring venues to life.
The experience LW has acquired on the multiple hotels, restaurants and bars that it has worked on has firmly established the firm as a force within the hospitality sector. LW has applied the same philosophy – of creating an unforgettable guest experience – to its many high-end residential and mixed-use developments.
