Aedas Interior’s design for Nokia’s Singapore office has created a vibrant, adaptable environment that fosters collaboration and creativity.
“The new Nokia Singapore workspace is a pleasure to work in and speaks about the organisations’ core principles and values,” the design practice said.
The overall office masterplan features a series of different zones, including the connect zone (front of house), the open zones (workspace) and a naturally isolated area (focus zone) to support different working styles and activities.
The front of house offers a place where customers, partners and employees come together to interact and is also the hub for hosting events and training. Here, the Nokia brand identity is notably featured and amplified, with a prominent installation featuring the iconic N brand symbol. The logo wall showcases a dynamic gradient of bold colours that are eye catching and bring energy. The reception leads into a café area, fostering collaboration, creation and innovation.
The open zone/workspace fosters communication among employees by using collaborative spaces. Business groups comprised of R&D hardware, software and knowledge workers are positioned close to the laboratory and are supported by technical benches, with dedicated computer terminals and equipment testing spaces. Flexible furniture arrangements, communal areas and meeting spaces equipped with the latest communication tools facilitate teamwork and idea sharing.
Design highlights
Elements of nature have been integrated into the office environment to promote wellbeing and creativity among employees, including greenery and natural light to create a more inviting and inspiring workspace.
Each meeting room has its own personality. The letters N, K and O are used together with bold photography to showcase an array of industries Nokia is involved in.
