The Maha Restaurant, situated in Chengdu, China, by WOOOW!DESIGN, offers an innovative fusion of the city’s cultural heritage with modern design to offer an immersive dining experience that goes beyond the traditional restaurant model. As well as offering a by appointment private dining experience, the restaurant hosts themed activities such as art salons and concerts.
At its foundation, the project skilfully integrates the city’s texture through the sculpting and polishing of Maha stone, intertwining culinary art with an array of artistic expressions to permeate the entire space with ambience and narrative depth.

Featuring a combination of rich materials, blending both soft and hard textures, creates an inviting and warm atmosphere. While lighting is seamlessly integrated.

Design highlights

The restaurant’s various different spaces each feature a differently tailored design approach. The deep, dark tones in the dining area create an intimate dining atmosphere, while the eclectic but harmonious combination of design elements in the lounge area create a warm ambience, inviting the guest to engage with the surroundings. 

Emphasizing eco-friendly material selection, the project merges natural textures and materials with environmental themes.
